A Quick Introduction to Slow Travel

A loyal advocate for slow travel, I’ve always enjoyed the softer, not-so-obvious aspects of a journey – befriending locals, attending cultural events and scouting hidden trails.

Following that thought, I’ve put together a comprehensive guide that will help you build the slow travel mindset.

One request – come with time.

    A life changing experience!

My 3-week journey with Unfollow Travel exploring Northern India was truly life-changing and, a trip I will cherish forever. Each day was filled with adventure from scenic forest treks to Pandukholi and cultural immersion in quaint villages of Dunagiri to the relaxing yoga and sound healing sessions. Living like locals, enjoying incredible home stays, and experiencing Dusshera traditions made it unforgettable and a truly humbling experience. The Shirodhara and Abhyangam ayurvedic massages were divine. As a solo traveler, I felt so incredibly safe and welcomed on this trip and am very grateful to have had Sayali as my amazing host who I can now call a lifelong friend.

    100% Authentic

Our first trip to India was the usual Golden Triangle, visiting all the tourist spots. For our second visit, we were adamant to explore something offbeat and remote. Luckily we found Sayali on LinkedIn and she introduced us to slow travel. It was a great stroke of luck! She helped us plan a realistic and customized itinerary for Assam and included several amazing experiences over 10 days. The weather was good, we tried local food, and met the tribal communities. It was an enriching experience. Our stay was great too. A colonial British bungalow turned into a homestay, in the middle of nature. We literally woke up to the sound of birds. We never imagined experiencing India this way. Huge thanks to Sayali for making it happen! We highly recommend her to anyone looking for something beyond the usual tourist routes in India.

An India I never knew existed.

This was the first time I saw a side of India I didn’t recognize. I’ve visited four times before, but the fifth time truly surprised me. I was honestly stumped! All thanks to Sayali, a young and passionate woman who ensures your experience in India leaves a lasting impact on how you travel. The way she introduced us to slow travel and curated tribal experiences that highlighted the richness of each place we stayed in was mesmerizing. We’re already planning our sixth trip back!

    This is the real deal!

We have done the golden triangle before and honestly were a bit hesitant to try this style of travel, but Sayali ensured everything was smooth and efficiently managed to execute our holiday. Good choice of homestays, perfectly curated village experiences and mind-blowing food. We even met some amazing people on the road. Loved every bit of it! We definitely recommend giving this a try.
